Logging in for Solicitors

Last update: 15 July 2026

On the IND's solicitor portals, you can submit and view case files in pending asylum cases. If an older or current case is involved, you still use the Solicitor Portal. If a newer case is involved, from after 12 June 2026, then log in via the IND portal.

Log in

For asylum cases from prior to 12 June 2026:

Log in to the Solicitor Portal

For asylum cases from on or after 12 June 2026:

Log in to the IND portal

You need a NOvA solicitor ID card to log in to the portals.

Authorise

We recommend that you authorise your secretarial staff or another solicitor. This allows your authorised representative to log in to the portals if you are away. Visit the NOvA website to learn how to arrange an authorisation. Your secretarial staff or backup will then have access to all your cases and case files. And they can also submit case files for pending cases.

Login and authorisation are managed entirely by NOvA. Do you have questions? In that case, please phone or email NOvA’s information desk for solicitors

Reporting technical issues

Are you having trouble logging in, or are there technical problems? First check whether the problems are related to your internet connection. If that is not the case, check whether the solution to your problem is listed in the FAQs about the Solicitor Portal.

Are you still experiencing technical problems? Send us an email with the following information:

  • Screenshot of the error message;
  • Date and time of the error message;
  • Brief description of the problem or malfunction.

Once we receive your email, the IND will review your report.
